About the event
Veterans, friends and family take to the waters of Gemstone Farm to battle it out for the biggest bass of the lake. Hooks & Heroes brings veterans together for a day of respite outdoors, surrounded by 160 acres of streams, trails, and nature. Presented by Gemstone Farm and KAZ Outdoors, this Derby honors the men and women who served our country and creates a space where they can connect with one another through the shared language of fishing.
Fishing Rules:
Catch & Release: To keep our fish happy and healthy- all fish must be released back into the water after being measured & weighed by a judge!
Every Fish Counts: Every single catch gets you points! Big or small and regardless of fish species, they all count towards your score!
Good Sportsmanship: Cheer on your neighbors, help out a friend or fellow angler and celebrate every catch!
Safety: Life jackets are recommended for the little ones and be mindful of others when casting your line!
Release of Liability/ Hold Harmless Agreement: By participating in the tournament, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to the terms of the Hold Harmless Agreement seen below.
